About Me

For over 20 years Cara Spearin has been serving her community as Paramedic, spending countless hours in the field of medicine, managing crisis, pain and life threatening emergencies. However over the course of her career, the times where she found she could truly impact a life or a family showed themselves when the work involved listening, caretaking and holding space in difficult moments.

The shift into holistic living has been life changing in her own work in the medical field. Knowing that human touch, communicating fears and educating on choice has the ability to heal has been the real medicine at work and to be able to empower others is a gift to be shared.

Cara has successful completion with Douglas College’s End of Life Doula Course, is a Level Two Reiki Healer as well as course completion in Medical Cannabis & CBD Oil. She has been a practicing EOL Doula since 2022 and is backed by both the Death Doula Ontario Network and a member of the End of Life Doula Association of Canada.

Death, dying and the spaces between have leant to great perspective, meaning and a feeling of honour to be a part of life’s most intimate moments. As an advocate for the dying, Cara can ensure that alignment with you or your loved ones wishes, values and beliefs are honored giving meaning in both life and death.
